Infection Preventionist - PRN - The George Washington University Hospital - Washington D.C.
The George Washington University Hospital is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Infection Preventionist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the implementation, management and improvement of the hospitals Infection Control Program by collecting, reporting and analyzing data; identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement; coordinating activities and supporting the development and implementation of medical staff and hospital infection control performance improvement initiatives. Assists in achieving compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
- Bachelor's degree related to Healthcare
- Registered Nurse preferred
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
